Megan Kinney is the CEO and Co-founder of Bad Owl, a collective-driven record label and sync licensing company built on collaboration, independence, and artistic integrity. With a Bachelor of Music from the University of Miami, Megan has spent the past 10 years in Los Angeles as a songwriter, producer, and vocalist, shaping music that is both emotionally compelling and commercially viable.
Her creative journey began in competitive dance, where she developed a deep understanding of rhythm and storytelling—an instinct that now fuels her work in music. As CEO of Bad Owl, Megan is dedicated to creating opportunities for artists to thrive, whether through writing, producing, releasing, or sync representation. She believes in fostering an ecosystem where artists can live well off their music while feeling supported and inspired.
Rooted in community and collaboration, Bad Owl is more than a company—it’s a home for long-time collaborators and creators who value artistry, connection, and innovation. As the industry evolves, Megan and her team continue to embrace change with presence, adaptability, and a commitment to making great art with great people.
